This red dessert wine must contain at least 85% of the Piedmontse grape Brachetto, and as is the case with other wines made from this grape, it gives a nice, fresh result. To this grape, there may be added other local red grapes (15%).
Piedmont Brachetto is a more or less intense ruby red wine that often go towards the rosé. The scent is distinctive with a faint touch of nutmeg. The flavor is delicate, more or less sweet, and often full sparkling or semi-sparkling.
A full sparkling Piedmont Brachetto Spumante is also available, which can be both dry and sweet.
This lovely red wine is served locally to not too sweet desserts.
