This red wine is made of minimum 85% the grape Freisa, with the permitted addition of local non-aromatic red grapes (15%).
The result is a ruby red wine which, with age, turns to garnet red. The scent is distinctive and delicate, while the taste is dry, often semi-sweet, attractively bitter and sometimes slightly bubbly (Vivace).
