Dolcetto delle Langhe Monregalesi DOC is the smallest of the eight red wine Dolcetto types. It is grown in the Cuneo province on the vineyards that runs along the Tanaro River between the towns of Dogliani and Mondovi.
Dolcetto delle Langhe Monregalesi DOC is lighter than the other Dolcetto wines and is well known for its bouquet and fruitiness. The color is light ruby red, the scent is vinous and the taste is pleasantly dry with a slight bitterness in the aftertaste. The wine has moderate body.
A Dolcetto delle Langhe Monregalesi Superiore DOC is also produced, with a mandatory aging period of one year and 12% alcoholic content.
