Trentino Superiore Rosso DOC is a red wine made from Cabernet Franc and/or Cabernet Sauvignon and/or Carmenère and / or Merlot (85-100%), with the permitted addition of local red grapes, usually Lagrein and/or Rebo (0-15%).
The wine has a ruby red color, of medium to high intensity. After aging, the color turns to garnet red. The scent is inviting and ethereal, while the taste is dry, full-bodied, balanced and slightly tannic.
The mandatory aging period for Trentino Superiore Rosso DOC is 22 months, starting with November 1st of the harvesting year.
The wine is a wonderful accompaniment of polenta with mushrooms, fried meat, hard and semi-hard cheeses.
