As the name suggests, the main grape used for this wine is Cabernet Franc (85-100%), with the permitted addition of local red grapes (0-15%).
Trentino Superiore Cabernet Franc DOC is a more or less intense ruby red wine which turns to garnet red with age. The scent is ethereal and slightly herbal, while the taste is dry, full-bodies and harmonious.
The mandatory aging period is of 22 months, starting with November 1st of the harvesting year.
The wine is a good accompaniment of goat meat, smacafam (local polenta and meat pie), fried meat and hard cheeses.
