Trentino Superiore Castel Beseno DOC is a white wine made from the white grape Moscato Giallo (85-100%), with the permitted addition of other local white grapes (0-15%).
If the label displays the name Castel Beseno, it means that the wine is produced around the village Calliano and the municipality of Besenello, located at the foot of the rather impressive and well preserved medieval castle, Castel Beseno, in the province of Trento.
Trentino Superiore Castel Beseno DOC is a straw-yellow colored wine, with an aromatic and distinctive aroma. The taste is delicate and typical of the Moscato grape, ranging from dry to sweet.
The mandatory aging period is of 4 months, starting with November 1st of the harvesting year.
The wine pairs well with seafood, fish dishes and cheeses with herbs, while the sweet type is a good accompaniment of dessert.
