This red wine is made from the Lagrein grape (85-100%) with the permitted addition of local red grapes (0-15%).
Trentino Lagrein Rubino DOC (Dunkel) is a ruby red wine, with a fruity, characteristic scent. The taste is dry, soft and inviting.
Released on the market on March 1st following the harvesting year.
The wine is also known as Trentino Lagrein Dunkel DOC.
A good accompaniment for white meat, soups and semi-soft cheese.
Furthermore, a barrel-aged type, Trentino Lagrein Dunkel Riserva DOC (or Rubino) with the same grape composition, is produced. The mandatory aging period is 2 years, starting with November 1st of the harvesting year.
Finally, a rosé wine, Trentino Lagrein Rosato (Kretzer) DOC is available, also with the same grape composition as the wine described above.
