The vineyards are completely or partially located in the Bolzano provinces, around the municipalities of Castel-Ciardes, Laces, Naturno, Parcines and Silandro along the course of the Adige river.
Alto Adige Valle Venosta DOC produces both red and white wines, the latter type being particularly interesting if they are made from Riesling and Pinot Bianco grapes.
