The wine has a more or less intense pink color, and a gentle, delicate yet distinctive aroma, and a bouquet with hints of yeast from the bottle fermentation. The taste is good, fresh, fine and harmonious. The wine has a fine foam and persistent bubbles.
Alto Adige Spumante Rosé DOC has a mandatory period of aging in the bottle of minimum 36 months and it can be released to the waiting consumers only after 42 months from October 1st of the harvesting year.
If the label mentions “Vigna” (Gewächs or Wachstum), followed by the name of a place, it refers to a specific vineyard area or a “micro zone”.
The dry type can be enjoyed as an aperitif, while the sweetish type can be enjoyed with dessert.
