This red wine is made from the Malvasia grape (85-100%), with the permitted addition of local red grapes (0-15%).
Alto Adige Malvasia DOC or Südtirol/Südtiroler Malvasier DOC is a highly fragrant light ruby red wine with orange reflections. The taste is dry, very soft, mellow and harmonious.
If the label mentions “Vigna” (Gewächs or Wachstum), followed by the name of a place, it refers to a specific vineyard area or a “micro zone”.
The wine pairs well with local sausages, ham (speck), barley soup and soft cheeses.
