Elba Rosso Riserva DOC uses the same grapes as in the regular Elba Rosso, namely Sangiovese, locally Sangioveto (60-100%), with permission to use additional local, red grapes (0-40%) and green grapes (max. 10%).
The color ranges from ruby to garnet red, and it has a good, intense and vinous aroma. The taste is dry, ample and balanced.
The mandatory aging period is 2 years, at least 12 months of which must be in oak barrels and 6 months in the bottle.
A fine wine with red meat.
