Zola Predosa DOC is a sub-zone of Colli Bolognesi DOC, located in the hilly part of the municipality bearing the same name, in the province of Bologna in Emilia-Romagna, approximately 110 kilometers west of Bologna.
Unlike other sub-zones of the Colli Bolognesi DOC, the use of Chardonnay and Merlot grapes in the wine production is permitted. The only other sub-zone allowed to use the Chardonnay variety is the neighboring Colline di Oliveto DOC.
