Reggiano DOC

In the Reggiano wine zone, there are produced almost exclusively Lambrusco-based wines, with the vineyards covering a fairly large area of the province Reggio Emilia, including areas in the capital of the province. The vineyards are located on the hills, as well as on the flat Po river valley, thus nearly enclosing Reggio nell’Emilia.

In Reggiano DOC, there are both still and sparkling red wines produced on different varieties of the Lambrusco grape, and as the only one of Emilia's four DOC zones with wines based on the Lambrusco grape, you also find a white Lambrusco-type, Reggiano Bianco Spumante DOC.
