Zola Predosa is a subzone of Colli Bolognesi where there are more stringent requirements for wine production than under the generic DOC title.
Colli Bolognesi Zola Predosa Pignoletto DOC is a white wine made from the local grape, Pignoletto (100%). It has a light straw yellow color, sometimes with green reflexes, a delicate and distinctive scent, and a distinctive, harmonious and refines taste, which ranges from dry to sweet.
The label mentions “Abboccato” in the case of the sweet type, which is also slightly aromatic.
The dry type is best enjoyed with fish, while the Abboccato suits well desserts.
