A red wine produced from the grape of the same name. It must contain a minimum of 85% Sangiovese, with permission to add local, non-aromatic red grapes (0-15%).
As usual, the Sangiovese grape produces a more or less intense ruby red wine with garnet reflections after extended aging. The aroma is vinous, intense and elegant, while the taste is dry and harmonious.
The mandatory aging period is 15 months, of which 7 must be in an oak barrel, and a minimum of 3 months in the bottle. This process begins after January 1 of the year after the harvest.
