Tuscany's ubiquitous Sangiovese (85-100%) is the primary grape in this red wine, where other local, non-aromatic red grapes may also be added (0-15%).
The combination produces a ruby red with tendencies toward orange-red with aging. The aroma is vinous, intense and elegant. The taste is dry and harmonious.
The wine is released for sale after March 31 of the year following the harvest.
