In Cortona, the international Merlot grape (85-100%) produces a lively, garnet wine, that often has hints of purple and, with age, becomes more of a brick red. Up to 15% of local, non-aromatic red grapes can also be added.
This red wine has an aroma of berries with hints of grass, and the taste is dry, balanced and ample.
The wine is released for sale after March 31 of the year after the harvest.
