We especially know the Gamay grape from Burgundy in France, but here in Cortona, Tuscany, it's cultivated with good results. The composition must be 85-100% of the main grape, with permission to use up to 15% of local, non-aromatic red grapes.
The wine is a ruby red with a tendency towards garnet with age. The aroma is vinous, intense and characteristic, while the taste is dry and harmonious.
This red wine is released for sale after March 31 of the year after the harvest, and goes well with almost everything on the menu.
