Pietraviva Rosato is a rosé, made from the same grapes as Pietraviva Rosso and Rosso Superiore. That is the Sangiovese (40-80%), Cabernet Sauvignon (0-30%) and Merlot (0-30%) grapes. Up to 20% local red grapes may also be added.
The color spans from pink to ruby red, although without the typical violet reflections for this type.
The aroma is fine, delicate and fruity. The taste is dry, harmonious and delicate.
The wine must rest for a minimum of 3 months after tapping, and it is released for sale after February 1 of the year following the harvest.
Served with most everything on the menu.
