The red wine, Valdichiana Rosso, is composed of the grapes Sangiovese (50-100%), Cabernet Sauvignon and/or Merlot and/or Syrah (0-50%). Local red grapes may also be added (0-15%).
The wine is clear, intense, fruity, fragrant and fresh when it's young. The taste is pleasant, fresh, harmonious and, if young, characterized by a nice freshness.
There is also a Rosato made from the same grapes.
Goes well with most everything on the table.
