Valdichiana Bianco, or Bianco Vergine (the virgin white) is made from the grapes Trebbiano Toscano (20-100%), Chardonnay and/or Pinot Bianco and/or Grechetto and/or Pinot Grigio (0-80%) together with the possibility of local, non-aromatic green grapes (0-15%).
This combination results in a straw yellow white wine with flecks of green. The aroma is neutral, characteristic, exceedingly delicate and pleasant. The taste is dry and has a slight hint of bitter almonds.
There is also a Frizzante and a Spumante version, and the minimum alcohol concentration is 11% for all three types. The sparkling version can have a slight sweet taste.
