Val di Cornia Cabernet Sauvignon Superiore DOC is a varietal red wine based on the same grapes as the regular Val di Cornia Cabernet Sauvignon , so Cabernet Sauvignon (85-100%), with permission to use local red grapes (0-15%).
The wine is a brilliant, clear ruby red, with a tendency towards garnet after aging. The bouquet is vinous and delicate, while the taste is dry, smooth, ample and balanced.
The minimum alcohol concentration is 12.5%, and the wine must age a minimum of 18 months, of which at least 6 must be in oak barrels.
There is also a Reserve.
