This varietal red wine is made from the same grape composition as Val di Cornia Cabernet Sauvignon (and Superiore), namely Cabernet Sauvignon (85-100%), with permission to use local red grapes (0-15%).
This grape composition results in a brilliant, clear, ruby red wine with a tendency towards garnet after aging. The bouquet is vinous and delicate, while the taste is dry, smooth, ample and balanced.
The minimum alcohol concentration is 12.5% and the wine must be aged a minimum of 24 months.
There is also a Superiore.
