This red dessert wine is made from the same grapes as the regular Pomino Rosso and the Reserve type. It is therefore about Sangiovese (50-100%,) together with Pinot Nero and/or Merlot (max. 50%). Beyond these, up to 25% local red grapes may also be added.
The grapes are dried either on the vine, after which they are carefully plucked, or they are plucked and placed on shelves in custom drying houses. This method creates a high concentration of residual sugar in the grapes.
The result is a more or less intense, ruby red dessert wine, with garnet reflections. The aroma is ethereal and intense, and the taste is harmonious and smooth.
The wine is released for sale after June 1 of the year after the harvest.
Served locally with desserts.
