Colline Lucchesi Rosso DOC is a red wine produced from the grapes Sangiovese (45-70%), Canaiolo and/or Ciliegiolo (0-30%), Merlot (0-15%) and other local red grapes (max. 15%, with the exception of Aleatico and Moscato, which may only make up 5%).
This grape combination results in a ruby red wine, which with aging becomes more garnet. The aroma is inviting and characteristic, and the taste dry, harmonious, smooth and, now and then, bubbly.
There is also a Colline Lucchesi Rosso Riserva.
That Italy in 2011 was the worlds largest wine producer?
