This sweet wine is produced by half-dry grapes from the Sangiovese (50-70%) and Malvasia Nera (30-50%) varieties.
When young, Vin Santo Occhio di Pernice DOC has an intense pink color, but when it ages it becomes a golden or reddish amber color. The aroma is intense, and the taste is sweet, velvety and well-rounded. The alcohol concentration is 14.5% + 1.5% residual sugar.
There is also a Reserve, which must age a minimum of 4 years.
Served as a celebratory ending to a meal, as a dessert wine or for those meditative moments .
