One of the two white wines in the otherwise red wine dominant Montecucco is primarily made from the Vermentino grape (85-100%), and up to 15% other local green grapes may also be added.
As is always the case with Vermentino, the result is a straw yellow white wine. The aroma is delicate, fresh and characteristic, and the taste is dry, smooth and inviting.
The wine is released for sale after February 1 of the year after the harvest, and is enjoyed to the full with the region's fish dishes.
Take a look at the region's other white wine, Montecucco Bianco.
