Just as with another still or sparkling red wine from the zone, Colli di Scandiano e di Canossa Lambrusco Grasparossa DOC, this Lambrusco from the Monterrico grape variety is among the best of its kind in Emilia-Romagna.
The grape composition of this wine is the following: Lambrusco Montericco grapes (85-100%), Lambrusco Mariano and/or Lambrusco Grasparossa grapes, Lambrusco Salamino, Malbo Gentile and/or Ancellotta and/or Croatina (vinified without the grape skin) (0-15%).
This slightly sparkling or still red wine has a fresh, typical and inviting scent. The taste, fresh, balanced and fruity, is available either as dry or as slightly sweet.
The dry type may be enjoyed with most meals, while the sweet type is best enjoyed with dessert.
This wine is also available as a pink colored rosé, Colli di Scandiano e di Canossa Lambrusco Montericco Rosato DOC, in which case the grape skin is removed before the vinification process begins.
