This red wine has the same grape composition as the non-barrel aged, namely Cabernet Sauvignon grapes (85-100%), Sangiovese and/or Merlot grapes (0-15%).
Colli di Scandiano e di Canossa Cabernet Sauvignon Riserva DOC has a ruby red color and a typical scent, with light herbal hints. The taste, velvety and with tannins, is balanced by a light touch of herbs and wood from the barrel. This is a full-bodied wine.
The minimum mandatory aging period is 2 years, of which at least 6 months in the barrels, starting on November 1st of the harvesting year.
This wine is best enjoyed with rather refined and ambitious dishes.
