This aged red wine has an almost identical grape composition to the non-barrel aged Colli di Parma Rosso DOC and to the red wine Colli Piacentini Gutturnio DOC, meaning Barbera grapes (60-75%) and/or Bonarda (25-40%), with the permitted addition of other non-aromatic, certified grapes from the zone (0-15%).
The scent is vinous and characteristic, and the taste is dry, with a slightly bitter aftertaste. The wine is slightly sparkling and the color is dark ruby red.
