In theory, this Sangiovese red wine is similar to the Sangiovese di Romagna DOC from the same region, but the difference lies in each producer’s interpretation of the wine.
As the name suggests, Colli d’Imola Sangiovese DOC is made of Sangiovese grapes (85-100%), with the permitted addition to add other grapes from the zone (up t0 15%).
The scent is vinous and delicate, and the taste is full-bodied, dry and balanced.
A barrel-aged Colli d’Imola Sangiovese Riserva DOC is also available.
