This red wine has the same grape composition as the non-barrel aged Colli d’Imola Cabernet Sauvignon DOC, namely Cabernet Sauvignon (85-100%), with the permitted addition of other local red grapes (0-15%).
This type is often described as the best of Colli d’Imola.
Colli d’Imola Cabernet Sauvignon Riserva DOC has a dark ruby red color, with garnet red hints, a vinous scent, with interesting notes, and a full-bodied, dry and balanced taste.
The wine may be enjoyed young, but after aging, it becomes softer and more inviting.
The minimum aging period is 18 months, starting with November 1st of the harvesting year.
