This red dessert wine uses the same grapes as in Tullum Rosso DOC and Tullum Rosso Riserva DOC, namely the Montepulciano (90-100%), usually together with other local, non-aromatic blue grapes (0-10%).
The grapes are selected, tenderly picked and laid to dry on straw mats or shelves in dedicated drying facilities (Passito method). Afterwards, they are pressed and become a stout dessert wine.
Tullum Rosso Passito DOC (or Terre Tollesi Rosso Passito DOC) is ruby red, after aging turning into granate red. The aroma is observably etherial and distinctive. The taste is sweet, aromatic and likewise distinctive.
