Tullum Pecorino DOC (or Terre Tollesi Pecorino DOC) is a so-called varietal, where the main grape is Pecorino (90-100%). It is permitted to use additional local, non-aromatic green grapes (0-10%).
The color is a more or less intense straw yellow, the aroma fruity, fine and charateristic of the grape. The wine is dry, fresh, palatable and harmonious.
The alcohol content, as is often seen with Pecorino grapes, is typically a bit higher than most white wines.
It will be interesting to see if the Tullum Pecorino DOC has the same high shelf life potential as with Offida Pecorino DOCG from the neighboring Marche region, where the Pecorino variety originates from.
