The white Reggiano Bianco Spumante DOC is grown around the municipalities of Sant’Illario d’Enza, Gualtieri, Montecchio and Campegine and basically there is an entire range of Lambrusco grapes used for this Spumante type.
In the case that this is a white wine grown on Lambrusco Mariani and/or Lambrusco Maestru, Lambrusco Salamino, Lambrusco Montericco or Lambrusco di Sorbara, the grapes are vinified without their skins, the result being a sparkling white wine.
The bubbles are produced either by natural fermentation in the bottle (Metodo Classico), or through the pressure tank method (Charmat or Martinotti method).
Reggiano Bianco Spumante DOC is bright and straw-colored, with a typical, fruity scent. This fresh, soft and pleasant wine can be served as an aperitif or throughout the meal.
