This red wine has the same grape composition as the non-barrel aged Colli di Rimini Cabernet Sauvignon DOC, namely Cabernet Sauvignon grapes (85-100%), with the permitted addition of other red grapes from the zone (0-15%).
Colli di Rimini Cabernet Sauvignon Riserva DOC is quite a pleasant, dark, almost ethereal wine, with a pleasantly grassy scent, and a rich, balanced taste, sometimes filled with tannins. The aging process makes the wine significantly softer.
The minimum mandatory aging period is 2 years, and the aging potential is 7-8 years.
