Castel del Monte Rosato is arguably one of Italy’s most beautiful when poured into the glass. It is based on either Bombino Nero, Uva di Troia or Aglianico (65-100%), with permission to add local red grapes (0-35%).
The color is more or less pink, the aroma is delicate and vinous and, at times, very fruity, with a dry, balanced and pleasant taste.
There is also a fizzy Castel del Monte Rosato Frizzante DOC.
Castel del Monte Rosato is probably the most widespread rosé wine in Italy and also the most exported.
It suits most light meals.
