Castel del Monte Rosso is a terrific, almost deep red wine, with rich tones in the glass. It is made from either Uva di Troia, Aglianico or Montepulciano grapes (65-100%) with permission to supplement with local, red grapes (0-35%). All in all, this blend gives amazing results.
Castel del Monte Rosso DOC is a pretty robust red wine with an almost austere expression. It is dry, with balanced tannins and with a vinous, pleasant aroma, characteristic of its type.
There is also a barrel aged Castel del Monte Rosso Riserva available.
