Although it is a bit too early to judge this new red DOC type from Castel del Monte, the Pinot Nero grape has already shown good results. It’s permitted to add other local white grapes (0-10%).
A white Pinot Nero is on its way and it may have even more potential than this type.
Castel del Monte Pinot Nero DOC is ruby red, of varying intensity. The scent is nice and inviting, and the taste is dry, full-bodied and harmonious.
