This slightly sparkling white wine is made from the grape varieties Chardonnay and Pinot Bianco (85-100%), with the permitted addition of local non-aromatic grapes (0-15%).
Valdadige Chardonnay e Pinot Bianco Frizzante DOC is a straw-colored wine, with a pleasant, fruity and characteristic scent. The taste is dry, harmonious and fresh, but also semi-sweet (Amabile).
The wine undergoes the Metodo Classico, where the bubbles are obtained in the bottle.
The dry type can be enjoyed either as an aperitif, or with sausage pie with macaroni, trout or soft cheese, while the sweet type pairs well with desserts.
If the wine is made from grapes from the province of Bolzano, the label will often display the German name, Etschtaler Chardonnay e Pinot Binco Frizzante DOC.
