This is a very elegant straw colored white wine, with the well-known golden-orange hints from the Sauvignon grape.
Collio Goriziano Sauvignon DOC has a fine acid balance, with a flowery yet flint-like scent. The taste is dry and harmonious, at the same time so soft and pleasant, that this Sauvignon based wine is considered one of the most important white wine in Collio DOC, as it often also are being compared with the best Sauvignon wines from France.
Just as other white wines in Collio Goriziano DOC, there is a barrel-aged Collio Goriziano Sauvignon Riserva DOC available, with the required maturation of 2 years and 12% alcohol content.
