Collio Goriziano Rosso DOC is a blend of Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, with the permitted addition of other local red grapes.
This is a ruby red wine, often with garnet hints. The scent is herbal and vinous, while the taste is dry, full-bodied and balanced. Locally, the wine is often more appreciated than the Collio Cabernet DOC type.
A barrel-aged Collio Goriziano Rosso Riserva DOC is also available, with the required maturation of 2 years.
