It’s not often one comes across this white wine, made from a wide range of grapes, including Chardonnay and/or Pinot Bianco, Pinot Grigio, Riesling Italico, Ribolla Gialla, Sauvignon, Malvasia Istriana and Tocai Friulano. The varieties Müller Thurgau and Traminer Aromatico may also be added at a maximum of 20%.
Collio Bianco Goriziano DOC is a relatively light but fragrant straw-colored white wine, the traditional blend of Malvasia Istriana, Friulano and Ribolla Gialla grapes being exceptional. It has a delicate and slightly aromatic fragrance, as well as a lively, fresh and harmonious taste.
Considered one of the best white wines of Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Collio Bianco Goriziano DOC can be enjoyed with most meals, locally, often with fish- or vegetable soup.
