Romagna Albana Dolce DOCG has the same grape composition as the dry Romagna Albana Secco DOCG, meaning the Albana grape (95-100%) with the permitted addition of local, white grapes (0-5%). However, connoisseurs are most excited about the sweet versions of the Albana wine.
Romagna Albana Dolce DOCG is made from semi-dried grapes, which back in the day were obtained in special drying houses a few months before Christmas. The romance has gradually disappeared, as the drying process today is mostly mechanical.
Romagna Albana Dolce DOCG is straw yellow, which turns golden with age. The scent is characteristic of the Albana grape and the taste is fruity, also characteristic for the grape.
Perfectly accompanies sweeter desserts or cakes.
Aging potential is up to 5 years.
