This wine has the same grape composition as the dry Romagna Albana Secco DOCG (Ascuitto), meaning 95% Albana grapes, with the permitted addition of other local non-aromatic green grapes.
Many experts are most excited for this sweet version of the Albana wine.
Romagna Albana Amabile DOCG is produced from semi-dried grapes, which, back in the day, were obtained in special drying houses, a few months before Christmas. Today, the process is not quite so romantic, the grapes often being dried mechanically.
The color is straw yellow, but it turns to golden yellow with age. The scent is the characteristic of Albana wines. The taste is lightly sweet, appealing and also characteristic of the grape.
Romagna Albana Amabile DOCG accompanies well sweeter dishes and desserts.
The potential shelf life is up to 5 years.
