This red wine has the same grape composition as the regular non-barrel aged Colli di Faenza Rosso DOC, which is slightly different than what we usually see in Colli di Faenza, namely Cabernet Sauvignon grapes (40-60%), with Ancellotta grapes and/or Ciliegiolo and/or Merlot and/or Sangiovese grapes (40-60%).
Colli di Faenza Rosso Riserva DOC has a dark ruby red color and an ethereal scent, with pleasant, herbal notes. The taste is dry and full-bodied, sometimes with a light tannic aftertaste.
The minimum mandatory aging period is 2 years and the aging potential is 8-9 years.
The wine is best enjoyed with red meat.
