The blend used for this wine is slightly different than what we usually see in Colli di Faenza. The wine is made from Cabernet Sauvignon grapes (40-60%) with Ancellotta and/or Ciliegiolo and/or Merlot and/or Sangiovese grapes (40-60%).
Colli di Faenza Rosso DOC has a ruby red color and an ethereal scent with pleasant, herbal notes. The taste is dry and full-bodied, sometimes a bit tannic in the aftertaste.
The minimum mandatory aging period is 6 months and the aging potential is up to 4 years.
A barrel-aged Colli di Faenza Rosso Riserva DOC is also available.
