Teroldego Rotaliano Superiore DOC is a red wine made from the same grapes as the non-aged Teroldego Rotaliano Rosso DOC, namely the Teroldego (100%).
This variety is a ruby red to brick red colored wine, with a pleasant and ethereal scent and a rich taste, with a pleasant tannic aftertaste.
After 2-3 years it develops further the scent of flowers, herbs and berries with a slightly bitter touch in the aftertaste. Efter 6-7 years it acquires its full strength, in rare vintages over a decade. According to several experts, Teroldego Rotaliano Superiore DOC is comparable to the best red wines in northern Italy.
Minimum alcohol content is 12%
Teroldego Rotaliano Superiore DOC is a perfect accompaniment for stew, game, steak and roasts.
A barrel-aged Teroldedo Rotaliano Superiore Riserva DOC and the rosé wine Teroldego Rotaliano Rosato DOC (Kretzer) is also produced.
