This red wine uses the same grape composition as the unaged Delia Nivolelli Pignatello (Perricone) (85-100%), with permission to add local red grapes (0-15%).
The Pignatello grape, a tannin-rich affair, gives an intense, ruby red color that after a few years progresses to orange-red. The aroma is vinous and characteristic. A dry and well-tasting red wine, with a light tannic aftertaste, though still smooth.
The mandatory aging period is 2 years, and can at the earliest start January 1 the year after the harvest.
