Delia Nivolelli Sangiovese Riserva is made from the same grapes as the unaged version. That is synonymous with Sangiovese (85-100%), with permission to use additional local red grapes (0-15%).
Even though Sangiovese can almost be viewed as belonging in Tuscany, it also yields interesting results in Sicily.
The color is ruby, almost orange, red because of the aging. The bouquet is vinous with a delicate aroma, together with a dry, balanced and exceedingly full body and a light tannic finish.
The mandatory aging period is 2 years, and can at the earliest begin January 1 of the year after the harvest.
